Four years ago, actress Eleonora Wexler portrayed Gabriela Mansilla in the film "I Girl, I Princess", based on the story of Luana Mansilla, the first transgender girl in Argentina to obtain her ID with gender identity at the age of 6. Following the amendments to the Gender Identity Law promoted by the government of Javier Milei, in dialogue with the Argentine News Agency, Wexler expressed that she participated in the film with conviction.
The actress shared on her Instagram account: "It's coming soon... And if we go to the cinema 🎬 @yonenayoprincesa". She emphasized that she portrayed a role she truly believes in, representing the story of Gabriela and Luana Mansilla, considering them important figures in the movement.
Wexler highlighted Gabriela Mansilla's fight for her daughter's rights and stressed this by mentioning her participation in the anti-fascist and anti-racist LGBTIQ+ March, showing her support for the community's rights. In her interview with Noticias Argentinas, Gabriela Mansilla rejected the government's claim that in Argentina there is hormone treatment of minors or genital mutilation.
In her statements to the news agency, Gabriela Mansilla expressed her critical position towards the current administration, emphasizing that it is necessary to reverse the situation.
