New Drug Pricing Platform in Argentina

The Ministry of Health has launched a new platform called "Drug Prices" that will allow citizens to check updated prices of available medications in the market. This initiative aims to provide an efficient and quick tool to promote competition and freedom of action in the sector.

The platform not only offers the prices of medications but also provides detailed information about brands, forms, active ingredients, origin, and type of sale. In addition, discounts of between 50% to 80% have been applied to the preferential price for beneficiaries of the social welfare program.

Users of this platform will be able to use filters to search and compare different products and purchasing options. This will enable them to make informed decisions and choose the most convenient option according to their possibilities and needs. It is expected that this initiative will contribute to the necessary infrastructure for interoperable systems throughout the country and establish an efficient public administration focused on the citizen.

In the words of the Ministry of Health: "This platform is the first step for consumers to have precise and comprehensive information about the various options available in the market. It represents a significant advancement in the integration of the national health system and in terms of transparency." The list of drug prices will also include a special listing for beneficiaries of PAMI, thus expanding its reach and benefits for the population.
