The Mendoza Police managed to locate a person who was being sought thanks to the intervention of 'Fito', a dog from the Canine Corps. The procedure began after a family from the Amel neighborhood in the city of San Martín reported that a man with mental health problems had left his home with a knife. After the Police activated the search to find the missing person, 'Fito' began to work on the clues and took a trail heading south, reported the Government of Mendoza. During the operation, Fito ran about two kilometers to reach a vacant area, where he indicated the presence of a person inside an irrigation ditch. The corresponding procedure confirmed that it was the man being sought, who was in good health and, after being assisted by police personnel, was referred to the mental health area of the Perrupato Hospital. The intervention was made available to the San Martín Prosecutor's Office. Previously, 'Fito's' work had been decisive in clarifying a robbery in Junín and a stove and a refrigerator could be recovered.
