Buenos Aires concludes 'Safe Summer' road safety program

The Minister of Transportation of the Province of Buenos Aires, Martín Marinucci, led the closing of the 'Safe Summer Mode' program in Monte Hermoso. This initiative concluded its tour of the main tourist destinations in the province. The program, implemented as part of a strategy based on territorial presence, road controls, and educational work, aimed to promote a cultural shift in road safety. During operations conducted with the Undersecretary of Road Safety, Eduardo Feijoo, Road Safety agents verified compliance with the 'Zero Alcohol While Driving' law, mandatory vehicle technical inspections, the compulsory use of seat belts, and the corresponding documentation. In Monte Hermoso, interactive games, quizzes, and simulators were held, while ministry technical teams provided advice on mandatory documentation, helmet and seat belt use, and preventing drunk driving. As part of the event, Marinucci and Arranz signed an agreement to donate a radar and a breathalyzer to strengthen controls in the district. Marinucci also highlighted the provincial state's presence in tourist destinations and guaranteed rights with proposals for the whole family. He emphasized that 'it is essential to raise awareness to save lives' and warned that you cannot drive after consuming alcohol, that helmets and seat belts are not optional, and that using a cell phone while driving puts the community at risk. The initiative traveled to Miramar, Mar del Plata, Mar de Ajó, San Clemente del Tuyú, Santa Teresita, Pinamar, and Villa Gesell, combining education and controls on public roads.
