Buenos Aires, Feb 17 (NA) — A group of six adults and two minors were rescued after being trapped by the rising river in the province of Córdoba. The incident occurred in Villa de Soto and required a large-scale operation. Personnel from the High-Risk Units Department (DUAR), Volunteer Firefighters, Technical Disaster Response Team (ETAC), and police carried out a procedure in recent hours to rescue eight people, including two children, who were isolated after the river rose unexpectedly. According to the Argentine News Agency, after the emergency system was alerted, the operation was carried out using traction systems with ropes and the help of experts. After several minutes, authorities confirmed that all were transferred to a safe area, and they are in good health. It was reported that the rescued are from La Calera, Villa de Soto, and Córdoba Capital.
