In 2025, air traffic in Latin America and the Caribbean grew by 3.8%. Argentina showed the highest growth (13.2%), Brazil became the largest market. Panama also demonstrated significant growth, while Jamaica faced a decline.


Argentina Leads Air Traffic Growth in Latin America in 2025

The total air traffic in Latin America and the Caribbean grew 3.8% year-on-year, reaching 477.3 million passengers in 2025, confirming a stable and positive year for the region. Domestic traffic fell 1.5%, while international traffic increased 3.9%, reaching 24.7 million passengers. Argentina registered the highest percentage growth in air traffic in the region, reaching 33.3 million passengers, a 13.2% year-on-year increase. Brazil became the largest market in the region, carrying 129.6 million passengers (+9.4%). Panama also showed significant growth, increasing passenger traffic by 9% to nearly 21 million. Meanwhile, Jamaica faced a 7.7% decline, primarily due to an almost 8% contraction in the Jamaica-USA route, which accounts for about 70% of the country's international traffic.
