The renowned duo "Pimpinela" was honored at the Palacio Libertad during the "Essentials" cycle. During the event, Lucía Galán shared that they have not had to change their way of composing as they always focus on current issues, while Joaquín stated that it is not necessary for artists to make their political opinions public.
In the emotional symphonic concert, where the songs remained true to their original versions, "Diego Bros, Melania Lenoir, Romina Ruiz, and Patricio Witis" were featured as the main performers. The accompanying choir added a special touch to the evening with their professionalism and talent in interpreting the iconic lyrics of "Pimpinela".
Lucía Galán expressed, "It was a very exciting experience to hear our songs from the audience for the first time, alongside the Filiberto orchestra and the Argentine Music Choir, and the four talented singers. It was strange and very moving." Joaquín added, "When the kids performed our tracks, it was really crazy to see ourselves from the outside with a different interpretation of Pimpinela."
The concert was directed by Gaby Goldman, the Juan de Dios Filiberto Orchestra, and the National Choir, who paid a heartfelt tribute to the artists for their extensive career of over 40 years in music.
Regarding political opinions, Joaquín stated that everyone has the right to express themselves as they wish and that as artists they do not find it necessary to make their stance public. Remembering their beginnings, Lucía mentioned that they have always maintained the best intentions and that in difficult moments, they prefer to stay somewhat on the sidelines.
The show will be repeated this Friday starting at 20:30 as part of the "Essentials" cycle programming, offering an emotion-filled tribute to "Pimpinela"'s musical career.
