Deccechis highlights the importance of Vaca Muerta

Leandro Deccechis, CEO of Aconcagua Servicios, explained that although his company focuses on conventional operations, they have managed to remain competitive by having their own service company. This allows them to shield themselves in an environment where resources for Vaca Muerta are highly sought after.

Deccechis emphasized the need for dialogue in the industry to address the different exploitation models, whether conventional or unconventional, and the challenges each presents. Although Aconcagua Servicios did not acquire areas in the first phase of the Andes project, the CEO reaffirmed the company's commitment to participate in future expansion processes, focusing on sustainable growth and responsible resource management.

Aconcagua Servicios is dedicated to the development of conventional fields and operates in various basins, including the Neuquén Basin and the Cuyana Basin. Deccechis pointed out that while Argentina must focus on the development of Vaca Muerta, it should not neglect the conventional fields that can be managed by smaller or specialized companies.

Deccechis also reflected on the recent sale of areas by large operators like YPF, celebrating the transparency and opportunities that these sales represent for companies looking to expand their operations. In the framework of Argentina Oil and Gas 2024, Leandro Deccechis highlighted the importance of the oil industry and all stakeholders working together to anticipate and overcome possible obstacles in the development of Vaca Muerta.
