Buenos Aires, March 10 (NA) – Health Minister Mario Lugones participated this Tuesday in the Argentine Week in New York, presenting an agenda focused on investment, technological innovation, and international health cooperation, as part of the official delegation accompanying President Javier Milei in the United States.
During his speech at the high-level session on health technologies, Lugones stated that "Argentina is not here to ask for help." He affirmed that the health sector can become a platform for economic growth and international cooperation, with room for strategic partnerships and long-term investments.
During his stay in New York, the minister will hold meetings with representatives of SC Johnson, Bristol Myers Squibb, and Google Cloud for Latin America to exchange experiences and analyze possible future agreements. Additionally, he will participate in the official closing ceremony organized by AmCham at Microsoft Times Square.
In line with this, Lugones pointed out that "health is not just an essential service," but also an area with a direct impact on employment, growth, and innovation. The official delegation also included Manuel Adorni, Luis Caputo, Federico Sturzenegger, Pablo Quirno, and Darío Genua.
The event's agenda included debates on Argentina's potential in drug production and export, health system modernization, development of new management models, and expansion of technological solutions. Lugones stated that the government is promoting a transformation aimed at "intelligent integration into the world" and strengthening ties with dynamic and innovative economies.
