Former Deputy Minister of Economy, Gabriel Rubinstein, questioned the achievements attributed to the current government and requested "more humility" from President Javier Milei and the head of the Ministry of Finance, Luis Caputo. According to Rubinstein, it is surprising that Caputo claims that "Argentina is in a situation it has not experienced in the last 100 years, with fiscal balance, without monetary emission," among other things.
Gabriel Rubinstein, who served as deputy minister during Sergio Massa's management in the last 18 months of Alberto Fernández's government, compared the current situation to that of 20 years ago, when with Lavagna as Minister, the primary fiscal surplus was double the current one, inflation was six times lower, and the Central Bank had significant reserves, even considering the creation of a Sovereign Fund.
In a post on his social media, Rubinstein stated: "A bit of humility, Toto, Milei and company, would be appreciated." The former official also mentioned some crises the country went through in previous years, such as those of 2008, 2018, and the current pandemic.
