National deputy of Union for the Homeland (UxP), Daniel Arroyo, criticized the lack of a productive plan in the management of President Javier Milei, asserting that the government is not considering SMEs. In an interview with Splendid AM 990, Arroyo stated that Milei's objectives are reduced to two: lowering inflation and reducing the state's presence in the economy.
Arroyo compared the lack of promotion of productive activity in Argentina with the industrial policy implemented by Donald Trump in the United States, highlighting the absence of measures that promote job creation and the development of productive sectors in the country.
The politician also commented on Milei's focus on technologies such as artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies, indicating that while they are important, they should not be the only goals of government management. Arroyo believes it is crucial to diversify productive sectors, such as construction, textiles, food production, elderly care, and recycling, which generate intensive employment.
According to Arroyo, expanding attention to these sectors will allow for a more balanced and sustainable technological development for Argentina. In this sense, he emphasized the importance of not focusing solely on services and commodities, as this would leave a large part of the population on the sidelines of economic growth.
