The Argentine Federation of Commerce and Service Employees (FAECyS) has reached a new wage agreement for workers in travel and tourism companies, under the Collective Labor Agreement (CCT) 547/08. The union, led by Armando Cavalieri, completed this negotiation which will be in effect during the months of February, March, and April 2025, with an increase of 5.1% distributed in three installments throughout the period.
The agreement establishes that any additional amount agreed upon in May 2025 will be non-remunerative and non-accumulative, and the need for eventual adjustments will be evaluated at that time. Workers in the tourism sector will receive the increase according to their respective category and group, with specific amounts that will apply starting from February 1, 2025, and will be paid in the following months.
*"The re-composition will be paid as a non-remunerative allocation and will impact additional payments for attendance, seniority, and qualifications," the parties reported.*
The 5.1% increase will be implemented in a staggered manner, with 1.7% in February, March, and April 2025 respectively. These increases will gradually be added to the contractual base salaries of employees, such that the increase from one month will be incorporated into the salary of the following month. The agreement, which will be in effect from February 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026, aims to ensure wage improvements and working conditions for workers in the tourism sector under the CCT 547/08.
