New salary agreement in the health sector

Pharmaceutical companies and the Health Union (FATSA) have signed a new salary agreement that came into effect in January of this year. This agreement entails an increase of 5.22% compared to November of last year, with a cumulative increase of 117.80% for the closed year, according to information from Pharmabiz.net.

The agreement was signed by several representatives of the involved parties. For CAEME, Santiago Lovage was present with the legal support of Julián de Diego; for COOPERALA, Juan José Marconi signed with legal sponsorship from Ernesto Leguizamón; and for CAPROVE, the signature was provided by Juan Carlos Aba. On the union front, the document was endorsed by Héctor Daer, head of the CGT, and Carlos West Ocampo, with legal assistance from Federico West Ocampo.

Within this agreement, a new negotiation instance was established, scheduled for next April. Under the Framework Collective Labor Agreement 42/89, new salaries were set. Higher-ranking workers, category A with a university degree, will earn $2,126,420.54 (USD 1,954.70) in February, while a worker with a qualified title will receive $1,898,588.69 (USD 1,745.26) and a qualified worker will have a salary of $1,432,529.73 (USD 1,316.84) for the second month of the year.

In addition to the basic salaries, a payment of $64,373.52 (USD 59.17) was agreed for Health Day and improvements in the Maternity Room, where workers will receive a non-remunerative amount of $301,010.51 (USD 276.70). It was also established that the Post-Vacation Assignment will amount to $214,456.55 (USD 197.13). Néstor Orozco, with legal assistance from Mariano Genovesi, was the representative of CILFA at the time of signing the agreement.
