The Banking Association announced a new salary increase for all workers in the sector in January, which will start being paid in February 2025. The union, led by Sergio Palazzolo, clarified that this "salary increase" is 2.7%, which corresponds to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data for December, published by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses.

In an official statement, the AsociaciĆ³n Bancaria noted that the salary of sector workers increased by 117.8% in 2024, thus the same is comparable to last year's annual inflation.

"In this way, we again confirm from the Banking Association the application of inflation indices, so that bank workers do not fall behind in the fight against inflation and ensure the purchasing power of our representatives," emphasized the union.

From the union, it was explained that the adjustment mechanism, linked to the CPI, was agreed upon for the salaries of January and February 2025, so future increases will be confirmed after the CPI becomes known for these two months. The parties agreed to continue negotiations in the second half of March to finalize future agreements, including additional bonuses and premiums for Banking Day.
