In Salta province, a 32-year-old man was sentenced to one year in prison for threatening his mother and brother with a knife. The woman had reported her son to the police due to previous incidents of physical and psychological violence, which led her to kick him out of the home, according to the Ministry of Public Prosecution. However, at the beginning of this month, the suspect went to the house with a bladed weapon, insulting and threatening to kill his family while his loved ones were inside, according to the Argentine News Agency. The aggressor attempted to enter the home by climbing the roof; he did not cease his behavior, and a family member called 911. Salta police officers went to the scene, made the arrest, and confiscated the knife. The Family and Gender Violence Prosecution Office No. 2 found the suspect's guilt proven, and Judge Sandra Espeche sentenced him to one year in prison for aggravated threats with a weapon, as it was his sixth recidivism.
