In Salta, Argentina, four individuals have been arrested in connection with the dismantling of a criminal organization involved in drug trafficking. The suspects were apprehended while transporting over five kilograms of narcotics on Route 50. The operation was conducted as part of the Plan Güemes, a security initiative focused on the northern border. Acting on a tip, federal police stopped a vehicle during a routine inspection. The officers noted the occupants' extreme nervousness, prompting a more thorough search. This search revealed a brick-like package containing over a kilogram of high-purity cocaine and another wrapper with four and a half kilograms of marijuana. With the authorization of the prosecutor's office, the four detainees, all Argentine adults, were taken into custody. The narcotics, the vehicle, a knife, and two mobile phones were seized as evidence. The accused are now at the disposal of the investigating magistrate, facing charges under the National Drugs Law.
