The Collective of Workers of the Ministry of Public Defense and Argentine Trans Women (MTA) in Salta have reported the disappearance of Marlen Alejandra Emilce Villarrubia (La Grillo), a member of the Yo No Fui organization, who went missing after a police procedure in the province of Salta. Marlen was detained by the Salta Police invoking a non-active arrest warrant. There are no release records, transfer logs, or official information about her whereabouts. Habeas corpus petitions have been filed in both provincial and federal courts, but the State has yet to provide answers. We demand: The immediate appearance of Marlen. Clear and public responses from state agencies. An urgent and thorough investigation. The disappearance of a person in police custody is the responsibility of the State. We want them alive, free, and with rights. URGENT: HABEAS CORPUS FILED The Provincial Committee for the Prevention of Torture in Salta (CPT) filed a Habeas Corpus action before the Guarantees Court No. 4 of Salta Capital, presided over by Judge Diego Rodríguez Pipino, in favor of Marlen Alejandra Emilce Villarrubia (“La Grillo”), a member of the LGTBIQNB+ collective, whose whereabouts have been unknown since January 7 of this year. The filing requested the immediate disclosure of her whereabouts and all pertinent information related to her situation, in safeguard of her rights and guarantees.
