The ongoing investigation reveals details about the active participation of national deputy Emiliano Estrada in organizing a disinformation network in Salta. In addition to leading a defamation campaign against politicians, businessmen, and journalists, Estrada was also responsible for coordinating all aspects of operations, from creating fake accounts to publishing and distributing content.
Among the evidence presented in the legal case are nearly 200 pages of conversations between the legislator and his collaborators, which clearly establish his involvement in managing the fake accounts. Estrada not only ordered the creation of fictitious profiles but also supervised the production of defamatory videos, defined the scripts, coordinated the editing, and distributed the content.
In an attempt to divert suspicion, Estrada even instructed the publication of critical videos against himself and his close circle. Additionally, it was discovered that a fake account similar to that of a local media outlet was created to lend greater credibility to the disinformation spread.
The evidence also reveals that the legislator used resources from the National Congress to fund these operations, diverting salaries assigned to other functions in order to sustain the disinformation network. Despite attempting to eliminate evidence once the defamation campaigns began, incriminating chats have been recovered and added to the legal file, strengthening the accusations against him.
