Salta Justice is investigating the death of a two-year-old boy who fell into a well. Despite resuscitation attempts after being rescued, doctors at the Oscar H. Costas hospital confirmed his death. An autopsy was performed to determine what happened. The incident occurred on Tuesday night when authorities were alerted to a child falling into a well in a neighborhood in the Salta locality of Joaquín V. González. The 1st Anta Penal Prosecutor's Office, led by María Celeste García Pisacic, is working to clarify the case. In the circumstances under investigation, “a two-year-old boy fell into a well and, after being rescued, it was confirmed that he had died.” As part of the measures taken, the body was transferred to the locality of El Quebrachal to perform an autopsy and firmly establish the cause of death, according to the Argentine News Agency. García Pisacic assured that the Prosecutor's Office has issued all necessary directives to understand how the events occurred. It was learned that the alert was given by the child's relatives, who noticed that the boy was not in the house. After several minutes of searching, they found him at the bottom of a well.
