A fatal sequence of events occurred in the province of Salta. A driver, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, hit and killed a cyclist and fled the scene. Minutes later, he was involved in a second accident in which he died. In the latter incident, a woman suffered fractures. The first accident happened this Sunday in the Salteña locality of La Merced, on national route 68, when the driver ran over a cyclist, killed him, and then fled without assisting the victim. The fatal sequence continued minutes later when, a few kilometers away, at the Sumalao curve, the same driver was involved in a second accident. On this occasion, according to information from the media El Tribuno, he collided head-on with a Volkswagen Gol Trend car in which a woman was driving to work. As a result of this last incident, the driver died, while the woman suffered fractures and had to be taken to the hospital.
