Detained in Quilmes for possession of Nazi weapons

A 58-year-old man was arrested in Quilmes, Buenos Aires, accused of allegedly possessing materials and weapons linked to the Nazi regime. The investigation was conducted by the Specialized Prosecutor's Unit for Organized Crime (UFECO) in collaboration with Operation Nevada, initiated by agents of the Federal Police of Bosnia-Herzegovina to dismantle a weapons trafficking network to Australia, Mexico, the United States, and Greece.

In the raid carried out by the Federal Police at the suspect's home, 43 rifles with Nazi markings, 15 pistols, five bayonets, a crossbow, a 9mm submachine gun with Nazi symbols, two loading machines, 3,000 detonators, 3.5 kilograms of gunpowder, 3,000 bullets, and 2,500 cartridges of various calibers, a World War II uniform with Nazi symbolism, busts of Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini, as well as three mounted heads of Indian antelopes in violation of the Environmental Protection Law, were seized.

Items related to Nazism and two cell phones were also confiscated at the site. During the operation, staff from the Holocaust Museum verified most of the objects with Nazi symbolism, in contravention of law 23.592, while workers from the Environmental Crimes Department certified the illegality of the antelope heads. The Weapons and Explosives Department, along with ANMAC, analyzed the confiscated weapons at the scene.
