The Municipality of Quilmes reported that it is advancing infrastructure works in ten district schools, with maintenance tasks and building improvements for the 2026 school year. According to the Argentine News Agency, the tasks include repairs of restrooms, improvements to electrical installations, general painting, and specific repairs in classrooms and common areas, with the aim of guaranteeing safety and operational conditions. Among the cases mentioned, the Municipality detailed interventions at EES N° 9 (with 462 students) and EES N° 8 (with 387 students), where maintenance and upgrading works are being carried out. In Quilmes, they point out that the schedule focuses on critical points (roofs, leaks, bathrooms, and lighting), to prevent problems from being transferred to the start of classes and forcing suspensions or shortened school days.
