Buenos Aires, December 25 (NA) – Two criminals were shot dead by a City Police officer who allegedly defended himself during a robbery in the Buenos Aires town of Quilmes.
Police sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the incident occurred around noon on Wednesday between General Acha and San Mauro streets.
It all began when the officer was approached by two assailants and defended himself with his service weapon.
The police officer opened fire on the suspects when they attacked him, a version corroborated by a witness who stated:
“He did it to defend his wife.”
The thieves were two, riding a motorcycle, and it was learned that they were a man and a woman.
The couple attempted to rob the officer, who was in civilian clothes inside a Peugeot with his wife.
The officer responded with his service weapon, as a result of which both robbers died at the scene.
SAME doctors attended the scene and confirmed the death of the criminals.
The corresponding expert examinations were carried out at the scene by order of the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) number 7 of Quilmes, in charge of Javier Barrera.
