
In the Buenos Aires province of Quilmes, two criminals were killed, one was injured, and a fourth was arrested after participating in a violent robbery, a car accident, and a shootout with the Police. According to police sources, the four armed and masked thieves entered a house in Bernal with the intent to rob.
A neighbor alerted the police, and agents from the 8th Police Station, who were conducting undercover patrols, spotted the criminals as they headed to a white Toyota Cross truck. Upon noticing the police presence, one of the criminals fired at the police vehicle, triggering a chase.
During the escape, the thieves’ vehicle lost control and crashed into a house. Three of the assailants began firing at the officers, who responded with their service weapons. As a result of the gunfire exchange, two criminals lost their lives, one was injured and arrested, while the fourth was captured unharmed.
After the confrontation, various weapons were found at the scene, including a Glock .40 mm pistol in the driver's seat of the vehicle, a F.A.L. rifle next to the car, and another Glock 9 mm pistol in the back seat, among other firearms. Additionally, it was determined that the involved truck had one plate without impediments and another with an active theft report since June 5, 2024.
The driver of the truck died at the scene, and one of the criminals was shot and taken under police custody to Iriarte Hospital for medical assistance. A .38 mm caliber revolver and a Glock pistol were seized during the police intervention in the incident.
The investigation is being handled by the Instruction Fiscal Unit (UFI) under Leonardo Sarra, while the corresponding procedures are ongoing to clarify the facts and determine the responsibilities of those involved in the armed confrontation.
