113 wild birds were rescued at a private home in the Buenos Aires town of Moreno, where they were being used for clandestine sale during an operation where a cell phone, several ammunition of different calibers, a rifle, and an air pistol were also seized.
According to the police report accessed by Agencia Noticias Argentinas, the procedure was framed in the conservation of wildlife and was carried out by agents of the Federal Department of Investigations (DFI) of the Argentine Federal Police (PFA).
The case began with an anonymous complaint received by the Department of Environmental Crimes, which led to intelligence work in the said locality, to finally find the farm located at Nicaragua 1400, a place that was used for the hoarding and clandestine sale of protected wild birds.
In turn, the man in charge of caring for the specimens was identified, for which he was notified of the case and charged by the justice system.

The birds were transferred to the civil association “Pájaros Caídos” and to the Wildlife Conservation Station (ECAS), where they were safeguarded for their health evaluation, recovery, and subsequent reinsertion into their natural habitat, in accordance with current protocols.
