The Municipality of Moreno reported that, together with the provincial government, it continues the plan for repaving and widening Provincial Route 24, with the aim of improving accessibility, connectivity, and road safety in the district. According to the Argentine News Agency, the project includes the construction of separate lanes and sidewalks for turning maneuvers, as well as pothole repair using approximately 600 tons of asphalt mixture produced in Moreno to maintain traffic flow while main work is underway. The scheme also includes interventions financed by the Municipality: hydraulic works, asphalt connections between roundabouts, installation of lighting, traffic lights, and comprehensive marking and signaling tasks (horizontal, vertical, and aerial), aimed at organizing traffic in both directions and reinforcing road and pedestrian safety. In the current status update, it was indicated that repaving is currently underway on the section between the roundabout connecting Routes 24 and 25 towards General RodrÃguez, and the section connecting that roundabout to Derqui has already been completed. The Municipality stated that the completion of the new section will consolidate a strategic communication route from the highway to the José C. Paz district.
