A porter from School No. 7 in La Reja, in the Buenos Aires province of Moreno, was arrested for allegedly abusing a six-year-old student. According to the authorities, the results of psychological and medical genital exams were conclusive in determining his arrest. The complaint was filed in mid-March by the victim's parents, after which auxiliary prosecutor Milagros Giménez requested a series of measures. The results, known at the end of last week, evidenced the ordeal the minor suffered. With the information obtained, officers from the 7th Police Station in Moreno carried out the arrest of the 40-year-old accused on Friday, March 20, as reported by the Seminario Actualidad media. The man is accused of the crime of sexual abuse of a minor under 13, aggravated by carnal access and by constituting a seriously humiliating sexual subjugation for the victim. This Saturday, an investigative hearing was held where he refused to testify. He remains detained at the 7th Police Station in La Reja for now, according to the Argentine News Agency. In the first days of the investigation, facing the serious accusation, the Moreno Education Inspection Secretariat ordered the separation of the porter, the director, and a teacher from the institution. During the course of the investigation, the school issued various statements saying that “we work jointly with the authorities” and that “we are at the disposal of the Justice”.
