Vice President Victoria Villarruel, acting as head of the executive branch while President Javier Milei is abroad, visited Mendoza in recent hours and held a series of meetings as part of a limited official agenda. According to official sources, Villarruel visited Mendoza to attend the 90th Vendimia Harvest Festival and toured businesses linked to production and regional economies. Upon returning to the Federal Capital, Villarruel continued with a series of meetings. Although in response to a query from the Argentine News Agency, the Vice President's closest circle confirmed these activities, without specifying them. During her time in Mendoza, the Vice President participated in institutional events and toured various productive farms in the province, where she learned about the work of local producers dedicated to growing foods such as oregano, onion, potato, carrot, and garlic, among others. In meetings with producers and rural workers, she received information about production processes, the challenges facing the sector, and the current situation of regional economies, one of the province's main productive axes. Likewise, she participated in a working breakfast with leaders of the Argentine Wine Corporation (COVIAR), where she was briefed on the sector's problems and took note of the industry's prospects. It was pointed out that the visit was part of an agenda aimed at direct contact with different productive sectors of the country's interior and strengthening institutional dialogue with actors from the regional economies. Villarruel also made a brief stop in the capital of San Juan due to a technical issue preventing an air journey from Mendoza to Buenos Aires.
