The president of the Goya Trial Court, Ricardo Carbajal, this morning stated: "You are expelled from the courtroom. Get him out of here, put handcuffs on him and take him out of here!", after being interrupted by the defendant Leonardo Cositorto. The latter was found guilty of the crime of unlawful association and fraud in Corrientes.
The defendant's interruption created a moment of tension in the courtroom, which culminated in his expulsion. The authorities proceeded to remove him and handcuff him while the verdict on the charges was being announced.
After the incident, the president of the court regained control of the hearing and announced Cositorto's conviction for the crimes of unlawful association and fraud. This verdict brought an end to an extensive judicial process in which evidence and testimonies related to the defendant's criminal activities were evaluated.
Cositorto, for his part, listened to the verdict in silence while being removed from the room. It is expected that in the coming days, the corresponding sentence for the committed crimes will be handed down, thus establishing the legal consequences that the defendant will face for his criminal actions.
