A woman was detained in the province of Buenos Aires as part of an investigation into extortion with intimate material (“sextortion”), following a complaint filed with a specialized cybercrime prosecutor's office in the Lomas de Zamora Judicial Department. According to the Argentine News Agency (NA), the scheme under investigation involved demanding money from a man to prevent the dissemination of images and videos of a sexual nature. The investigation was delegated to the Technological Crimes Division, and field tasks and informational analysis were carried out to establish the facts and the modus operandi. The operation was executed by the Federal Investigations Department (DFI) of the Argentine Federal Police, as reported by the national government. Local media located the case with operational intervention in Ezeiza, where the detention was carried out following judicial and police actions.
