A massive explosion occurred at a chemical factory in the Ezeiza Industrial Park. According to Monte Grande Clinic, at least 15 people were injured in the incident. A video recorded by one of the employees shows the scale of the disaster: the footage shows debris and people running in panic. An employee in a state of shock is heard shouting: "People, the factory next door just exploded." He also added: "It got us all." Mayor Gastón Granado warned that the fire is "uncontrollable". According to Noticias Argentinas, the video was filmed at the "Flamia" factory, which is adjacent to the chemical plant where the disaster originated. An employee in confusion shouted: "It blew the factory to hell."
