The Ezeiza Municipality announced that starting January 5, 2026, a new paid parking system will be implemented, managed through the 'Ezeiza Medido' app. This move aims to regulate traffic in high-congestion areas and encourage vehicle turnover to benefit local commerce.
The initial phase will cover the area bounded by Presidente Perón, French, Arturo Illia, and Nicolás Avellaneda up to 12 de Octubre, with designated parking spaces, signage, and numbered boxes to initiate payment from a mobile phone.
The municipality also indicated that the app will be available for iOS and Android, requiring user and vehicle registration, credit loading, and activation of parking even when the space is occupied.
Regarding the price, the municipality set a fee of 700 pesos per hour. The system will be valid Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., while Sundays and holidays will be free of charge.
In this regard, Ezeiza clarified that residents living on the main streets within the implementation area can park for free in the vehicular access to their property (garage/front), but if they use a marked box, they must pay like any other user.
The municipality also emphasized the use of the funds: everything collected will be used 'exclusively' to strengthen citizen and road safety, leaving open a roadmap for expansion into other high-traffic areas.
Practically, the change establishes a new routine: check the signage, find the box number, and activate the payment (or the free hour) from your phone.
Additionally, a technology adoption incentive was included: using the app, the first hour is free (once per day and in a single box), and it was clarified that this benefit is neither divisible nor accumulable.
A sensitive point of the system is its impact on residents living within the radius.
