After the Federal Chamber of Corrientes announced that the investigation into Loan's disappearance will be extended until March 2025 due to the complexity of the case and accusations against several individuals, Judge Cristina Penzo requested and obtained approval for this measure. More searches have been ordered in the area where the boy disappeared in an attempt to clarify the mystery.
In a recently disclosed resolution, Judges Selva Angélica Spessot, Mirta Gladis Sotelo, and Ramón Luis González have authorized Judge Pozzer Penzo to carry out new evidence-gathering measures to advance the investigation. At the same time, it has been reported that Verónica Machuca Yunis, a social psychologist who provided assistance to two of Loan's relatives at the request of the Dupuy Foundation, was released last Friday by the Chamber's decision.
Regarding those detained by the Dupuy Foundation, seven of the ten accused of obstructing the investigation in the Loan Danilo Peña case have been released. However, the Federal Chamber of Goya has established that they are still being prosecuted in the case. Among those released are Leonardo Rubio, lawyers Elizabeth Cutaia, Delfina Taborda, and Alan Cañete, Valeria López, Pablo Nuñez, and Pablo Noguera, who will be able to await the development of the case in freedom.
