Buenos Aires, Feb 25 (NA) – The preliminary hearing for the case investigating the alleged abduction and concealment of Danilo Peña, the 5-year-old boy who has been missing since June 13, 2024, in the Corrientes town of 9 de Julio, will be streamed this Friday on YouTube. According to the Argentine News Agency, based on information from the Fiscales website, the virtual session will begin at 8:30 at the Oral Criminal Federal Court of Corrientes. General Prosecutor Carlos Schaefer will represent the Public Prosecutor's Office, as well as Acting General Prosecutor Tamara Ahimará Poucel, seven auxiliary prosecutors, and the Prosecutor's Office for Trafficking and Exploitation of Persons (PROTEX), led by prosecutors Marcelo Colombo and Alejandra Mángano. This is a key hearing, as it will begin the debate on the evidence and witnesses who will testify in the oral and public trial, which has no date set so far. Seven of the accused are charged with the boy's abduction and concealment: Laudelina Peña (Loan's aunt); former municipal official María Victoria Caillava; former Navy captain Carlos Guido Pérez; Commissioner Walter Maciel (covering up); Bernardino Antonio Benítez; Daniel Oscar “Fierrito” Ramírez and his partner Mónica del Carmen Millapi, who is under house arrest. The other individuals implicated in the alleged obstruction of the investigation are Alan Cañete, Elizabeth Cuataia, Federico Rossi Colombo, Delfina Taborda, Pablo Noguera, Pablo Núñez, Valeria López, Verónica Machuca Yuni, Leonardo Rubio and Nicolás Soria, alias “El Americano”.
