Liberation of Accused in Pyramid Scheme Case

Two people involved in the alleged pyramid scheme of Generación Zoe in Córdoba were released, as the maximum period of three years of preventive detention stipulated by the Penal Code expired. Norman Próspero and Silvana Abelloni were released because there is no start date for the trial in Córdoba, so they will await the process from their homes.

Additionally, it is expected that in the coming months other accused individuals will also be granted freedom due to the expiration of their preventive detentions. Among them are Silvia Rosa Fermani, Claudio Javier Álvarez, Florencia Anahí Álvarez, Andrea Mariela Sánchez, Rodrigo Hernán García, Maximiliano Batista, Miguel Ángel Echegaray, and leader Leonardo Cositorto.

In Cositorto's case, the precautionary measure is expected to expire in early April if the trial does not start before, which would imply the revocation of his preventive detention. The last three mentioned are being tried in Goya for fraud and illicit association. After the plea phase this Friday, it will be determined whether the six defendants, including Cositorto, will be convicted of the crime.

Both the plaintiff and the prosecution have requested that the criminal responsibility of businessman Cositorto and the other defendants be declared, arguing that there is evidence showing that they "created an illicit association."
