The rebel sector has made its position clear in writing: if they stay, they will leave. They believe it would be foolish to expel them, although they leave open the possibility in the future. On the other hand, the participation of the Civic Coalition in this interblock is ruled out, as they consider that taking sides would mean aligning with one sector of the UCR, with which they currently maintain a good dialogue.
Rodrigo de Loredo had a meeting this Monday with Mauricio Macri in Córdoba, accompanied by Guido Sandleris and Manuel Tagle, head of the local Stock Exchange. In the rebel sector, they understand that their departure will give De Loredo more freedom in his negotiations with the ruling party. They express that they will no longer be there to weaken and contradict him in everything. Regarding the fracture that is looming, it could generate a dispute for the party seal, according to what is mentioned in the most opposing wing of radicalism.
One of the legislators expresses that they are already on their way out and will not break the radical bloc, but are looking to build an alternative. The names of the deputies who could leave have been mentioned, including Facundo Manes, Pablo Juliano, Marcela Coli, Fernando Carbajal, and others. It is estimated that between 10 and 13 out of a total of 33 deputies could abandon the bloc.
On Monday night, it was confirmed that the sector aligned with Emiliano Yacobitti and Martín Lousteau has decided to leave. In Encuentro Federal, they speculate about the possible incorporation of the UCR fracture, thus adding about 30 deputies to a new interblock. Meanwhile, from Evolución Radical, they are trying to calm things down, attempting to avoid the division of the radical deputies' bloc. The key meeting to define the split is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
