Buenos Aires, March 18 (NA) -- The names of 12 people identified at La Perla, a former clandestine detention center in the province of Córdoba, will be revealed this Wednesday, in line with ongoing field search tasks and laboratory analysis.
According to a report accessed by the Argentine News Agency (NA), it was stated that the announcement will be made through a press conference at Córdoba's Federal Court No. 3. The event will be attended by Judge Miguel Hugo Vaca Narvaja, relatives, plaintiffs, and the Argentine Team of Forensic Anthropology (EAAF).
Meanwhile, it was noted that Carlos Vullo, director of the forensic genetics laboratory, and Silvana Turner, in charge of the work at La Perla, will participate from the EAAF.
So far, six people kidnapped, tortured, and disappeared during the last military dictatorship in Argentina have been identified at La Perla. The recovery efforts were made possible by the work of the EAAF.
The H.I.J.O.S. Association of Córdoba announced that there are now six identified militants who were kidnapped and killed.
These are Eduardo Jorge Valverde Suárez, Oscar Reyes, Ramiro Bustillo, one of the Carranza twins, Raúl Oscar Ceballos Canton, and Mario Alberto Nívoli, as learned by the Argentine News Agency (NA).
