In the Argentine city of Córdoba, cases against 11 officials accused in connection with the murder of Valentino Blas Correas, a young man shot by police in August 2020, have been sent to court. Prosecutor Franco Mondino requested that the cases be brought to trial. The main charges include abuse of authority, obstruction of justice, and bribery. Specifically, the former provincial Security Minister, Alfonso Mosquera, is accused of giving a police officer, Gonzalo Cumplido, a Toyota Corolla car in exchange for his silence after the murder. The list of accused also includes the former Security Minister, the former Undersecretary, and other high-ranking police officers. Three of the eight investigated cases have been archived.
