A "trapito", commonly known as a car parker, was detained in the province of Córdoba accused of demanding money from drivers who wanted to park. During various operations to prevent the arrival of "trapitos" on the streets of the province, residents and motorists reported one of them to the 911 emergency service in the Nueva Córdoba neighborhood. The procedure took place on Poet Leopoldo Lugones street at number 40, where the individual, identified as a sector car parker, "was demanding money from motorists who attempted to park on the public road." Based on the data provided to the emergency system, police officers implemented an operation in the place, sources of the case informed the Argentine News Agency. "When attempting to identify the accused, a struggle ensued during which the subject attacked the police officers and fled, finally being apprehended in the vicinity of the sector," they detailed. Despite the struggle, the authorities reported that no injuries were recorded and that the detainee was at the disposal of the competent Justice. The intervention was supported by personnel from the Video Surveillance Camera System, providing images to clarify the incident. Juan Pablo Quinteros, Minister of Security of Córdoba, echoed the news and expressed on his social networks: "In Córdoba there is no room for extortion or violence."
