Argentina's Economy Minister, Luis Caputo, defended his administration and stated that "it is the first time in Argentina that the root problem has been solved: the fiscal deficit," referring to the government's economic course. These statements, obtained by the Argentine News Agency, came after his speech at the annual meeting of the Mediterranean Foundation, held in the city of Córdoba, where he addressed business leaders, officials, and representatives of the productive sector. From the Ministry of Economy, they emphasized that eliminating the fiscal deficit is the central axis of the economic program, considering that this imbalance has historically been one of the main factors causing inflation and instability in the country. In this context, Caputo maintained that the current economic plan aims to attack the structural causes of macroeconomic problems, with a special focus on the ordering of public accounts.
The minister's statements were disseminated by the Ministry of Economy itself after his participation in the event organized by the Mediterranean Foundation in Córdoba, where he analyzed the state of the economy and the prospects of the official program.
