Minister of Economy Luis Caputo stated this afternoon that Kirchnerism «is going to become a politically irrelevant force» in the 2027 presidential elections. He emphasized that the «kuka risk index» is zero, but noted that markets still consider the opposition to be an active force. «One cannot fight against that,» he said. Caputo also stated that the economy cannot grow without credit and that the model that succeeded it is «immoral, unjust, regressive, and inefficient.» He reaffirmed the government's commitment to fiscal discipline and the exchange rate band scheme. At the same time, he criticized the «industrialist» model of Kirchnerism, calling it «pre-sale and in some way corrupt.» The minister also highlighted the benefits of the labor reform, including the Labor Assistance Fund (FAL), and pointed to the problem of informal employment, where 50% of workers have no rights. «What labor rights are they talking about when 50% are in the informal sector, and if they fire you, you can't find a job?» he asked. Caputo made these statements during a presentation for the 49th anniversary of the Fundación Mediterránea, held in the province of Córdoba.
