Italian Iveco to Begin Truck Production in Argentina

The Italian firm Iveco, which previously imported units from Brazil, will begin manufacturing trucks at its plant in Córdoba due to a rising demand from companies in the mining and oil sectors. Iveco will build the super-heavy S-Way trucks, the brand's most advanced model. In this context, in addition to supplying the local market demand, the company plans to expand with exports to regional countries. For this, Iveco has over 1,000 people in the country, 450 of whom are in Córdoba. With the economic opening under President Javier Milei's government, many companies are already signing contracts, establishing themselves in the country, and working on mineral exploitation in various provinces of Argentina to boost the economy and generate jobs.
