President Javier Milei will meet with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, next Sunday at the Government House for an expanded agenda bilateral meeting. Milei will hold this new meeting after visiting the elected president of the United States, Donald Trump, in Palm Beach, Florida, where he participated in the Conservative Political Action Conference.
Macron will arrive in South America for the G20 Summit to be held in Rio de Janeiro. According to information from the Presidency to the Noticias Argentinas agency, the French president will arrive in Argentina accompanied by his wife, Brigitte Macron, and will have a private dinner with Milei at the presidential residence in Olivos. The following day, both presidents will formally meet at the Government House for a bilateral meeting in the presidential office, followed by an expanded meeting with Argentine ministers and the French delegation.
There will be no announcements or joint statements from the presidents during this meeting, as it is exclusively a working meeting. After the meeting with Milei, Macron will head to Rio de Janeiro to participate in the G20, which will take place between the following Monday and Tuesday in Brazil.
After the summit, the Prime Minister of Italy, Georgia Meloni, will travel to Argentina to meet Milei on Wednesday, the 20th, at the Olivos residence. The good relationship between the Argentine president and the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy has facilitated three previous meetings between them. The latest meeting took place in September in New York during the trip in the framework of the United Nations General Assembly. In each meeting, the relationship between the two leaders has strengthened.
