The PRO Will Not Provide Quorum in the Chamber of Deputies

The PRO announced that it will not participate in the session this Tuesday in the Chamber of Deputies, and if achieved, they will not vote alongside Kirchnerism, according to statements made after a meeting of the Executive Board led by former president Mauricio Macri. In a statement, the party reaffirmed its stance of not putting governance at risk and defending institutionalism, a line it has maintained for the past year.

The PRO leadership indicated that its bloc will insist on issues such as the Clean Sheet Law, a proposal they seek to address in a special session next week. On the other hand, they highlighted the need to tackle the problems with unions in companies like Aerolíneas Argentinas, and demanded the consideration of the law on union democratization presented by deputies of the bloc.

Present at the meeting were figures such as the head of government of Buenos Aires, Jorge Macri, the governor of Chubut, Ignacio Torres, and several legislators and leaders from the space. The opposition blocs expressed that they have enough votes to hold a session with the aim of modifying the DNU law and repealing the debt swap decree, while the ruling party is confident that the required quorum will not be reached.

The PRO reiterated its stance of defending institutionalism and will not participate in the session called by the opposition blocs for this Tuesday in the Chamber of Deputies, where the reform of the DNU law and the repeal of the debt swap decree would be discussed.
