Political Turmoil in Argentina: 30 Officials Resign

The recent series of resignations and dismissals in Javier Milei's government is generating instability and posing challenges for the future of the libertarian project in Argentina. The departure of Foreign Minister Diana Mondino, who will be replaced by Gerardo Werthein, adds to the list of at least 30 officials who have left their positions in this administration.

Among the officials who have resigned or been removed are individuals with prominent roles in different areas of the government. In the Ministry of Human Capital, led by Sandra Pettovello, numerous departures have been recorded, including that of former Secretary of Childhood, Adolescence, and Family, Pablo de la Torre, who was displaced after a scandal involving tons of food not delivered.

The Ministry of Economy, headed by Luis Caputo, has also experienced a significant number of losses, such as the former president of the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA), Adriana Serkis, and the former Secretary of Bioeconomy, Fernando Vilella.

Additionally, the Chief of Staff and the Presidency area have undergone significant changes, such as the departure of Nicolás Posse, replaced by Guillermo Francos as coordinating minister, and the resignation of Alejandro Cosentino as Secretary of Innovation, Science, and Technology.

In other sectors of the government, important changes have also occurred, such as the departure of former Health Minister Mario Russo, former Secretary of Worship Francisco Sánchez, and former Infrastructure Minister Guillermo Ferraro, who was the first to leave the administration.

These movements in Milei's administration reflect a phase of instability and reorganization in his government, with the replacement of key figures in fundamental positions. This scenario raises questions about the direction the libertarian project will take in the country in the coming months.
