Amid rising tensions within the Justicialist Party (PJ), Verónica Magario, president of the PJ of La Matanza and vice governor of the province of Buenos Aires, called for the unity of Peronism. In a message, she emphasized the importance of resolving internal party differences without resorting to the Electoral Justice.
Magario highlighted the importance of preserving the party as a tool for the fight against those who harm the people. She stressed that the PJ must focus on economic independence, political sovereignty, and social justice. She expressed her support for Cristina Fernández de Kirchner's candidacy for the presidency of the national PJ.
The leader emphasized the need to confront, from unity, a government that, in her opinion, diminishes the quality of life of Argentinians, referring to the administration of Javier Milei. Magario stressed the importance of moving forward together and with determination to face the challenges Argentina faces.
In a social media message, Magario mentioned that Peronists have always resolved their differences internally and highlighted that unity is crucial to confront current challenges. She criticized any actions that could jeopardize party institutionalism. She called for the responsibility of Peronist militants to avoid disputes that hinder the mission of defending the people.
