Investigation into the Sale of Fake Tickets at Boca

The offices of La Bombonera were raided this morning as part of an investigation into the alleged duplication of memberships for the sale of fake tickets for two important matches. The complaint pointed out illicit activity in the games against Cruzeiro for the Copa Sudamericana and Deportivo Riestra for the Liga Profesional. The raid was carried out by the National Gendarmerie and the Public Prosecutor's Office, in coordination with the court number 10 overseen by prosecutor Maximiliano Vence.

A prior complaint alerted about the actions of four Boca members involved in the sale of fake tickets to club supporters from other regions of the country. When trying to access the stadium, several fans were turned away, exposing a possible scam scheme that is being investigated by judicial authorities.

In this context, there is an investigation into whether some Boca employees also participated in this fraudulent activity, according to sources close to the operation. The initial complaint was filed by fans who faced issues when attempting to enter La Bombonera at the mentioned matches.

The investigation led by prosecutor Vence identified that the four accused had access to membership cards that had not renewed their subscriptions. These documents were allegedly modified with the photographs of the buyers of the fake tickets, allowing them to bypass security checks without issues. The raid focused on obtaining concrete evidence linking this illicit activity with the offices of the Club's Members Department.

At this stage of the investigation, efforts are being made to determine whether the sale of fake tickets and the use of other people's memberships are directly related to the club's structure or if it was an external scheme in which only the reported members participated. While awaiting an official statement from Boca, the justice system continues its inquiries to clarify whether there was any responsibility on the part of the institution or if it was an individual action by the reported members.
