Reform of the Aeronautical Code in Argentina

The Secretary of Transportation of the Nation, Franco Mogetta, announced a reform in the Aeronautical Code with the aim of keeping Argentina at a high level of operational safety. Among the highlighted measures, it is established that the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC) has the authority to regulate the Technical Annexes of International Agreements.

Mogetta mentioned that this reform is part of efforts to improve the situation left by previous administrations and ensure safer skies. The inclusion of new powers for the aviation authority in the Code was emphasized, as well as the differentiation between commercial and non-commercial civil aviation.

One of the main modifications is the capability of the ANAC to stop or preventively hinder a flight for operational safety reasons. The strengthening of aeronautical inspectors is highlighted, who will have the authority to oversee air operators, both public and private, and suspend activities of personnel that do not meet standards.

The reform also implies the possibility that the ANAC may delegate third parties to conduct evaluations and inspections, always ensuring compliance with established requirements and procedures. In summary, these modifications seek to align Argentina with the highest international regulatory standards and guarantee a safe and efficient aerial operation.
