President Javier Milei described the head of the national deputies' bloc of Encuentro Federal, Miguel Ángel Pichetto, as "miserable." In response, Pichetto urged Milei to be careful about inciting violence, stating: "The only miserable thing is the reality in which many Argentinians live."
These statements arose after Milei had previously called Pichetto "ignorant" regarding economics and described him as an "inconsistent and incoherent" individual who has always depended on the state. The controversy escalated when the head of the opposition bloc retorted that Milei should be cautious when stirring up violence, particularly after the president's comments about driving "the last nail into the coffin of Kirchnerism with Cristina (Kirchner) inside."
Pichetto compared the situation to Caputo's crawling peg and criticized journalist Franco Mercuriali for not defending his colleague Marcelo Bonelli against the president's repeated attacks. Pichetto stated: "The journalist who interviewed him is also miserable, unable to defend a colleague from the same outlet." Furthermore, he highlighted Milei's discomfort regarding Martínez de Hoz and Ricardo Arriazu's policies during the dictatorship.
