The Ministry of Justice, headed by its head Juan Bautista Mahiques, carried out a series of changes in its structure that were announced through the Official Gazette. The measure was formalized after the departure of Carlos Eduardo Medina from the Undersecretariat of Registry Affairs. According to the Argentine News Agency, the modification was recorded in Decree 227/2026, where the resignation of the outgoing official was accepted retroactively as of March 9. The vacancy in this strategic body, in charge of supervising the national public registries dependent on the Ministry of Justice, was filled by Dr. Gonzalo Miguel Estévez. The new undersecretary began his operational functions on March 23, within the framework of an internal reordering process that seeks to streamline management under the orbit of the Secretariat of Justice.
